It's Christmas time and an opportunity to inject a bit of fun into the proceedings. "How To Have Kick-Ass Ideas" is a good laugh but also a seriously helpful book. It can be used simply to help you inject a bit of creativity into generating ideas for new products or new marketing campaigns. It can also be used for self-development, to inject a bit of pizzazz back into daily life or to help focus on some clear objectives and set a new direction.
If you decide to read this book or if you are lucky enough to win a copy be prepared to suspend disbelief when you first open it. It reminded me of those old Monty Python books. Cartoons and graphics all over the place. Loads of quotes. But these devices are properly used in conjunction with tools and ideas to make the process of kicking ass rather enjoyable. One of the finest exercises sits under the heading "Your mind starts Being when you stop doing". So in order to help your mind get around that intractable problem Chris recommends....The Pub - "A fabulous network of rest and recuperation centre throughout the country". To be fair he also suggests that you don't rely on this one too heavily and offers alternatives such as going for a walk or having a hot bath.
So if you want to pep up the old gray matter go out and kick some ass. Or if you prefer send us an email with Kick Ass Ideas in the subject line and tell us who you are and what you do - you'll be entered in a prize draw to win a copy of the book on January 1st (well probably the 2nd is more likely)..
