Arrowsmith Marketing Approach

Arrowsmith Marketing was established by Gareth Edwards at the beginning of 2005 to focus on providing marketing and consultancy services to organisations (corporates and SMEs) needing a combination of strategic thinking and “roll your sleeves up” sales and marketing skills.

The Arrowsmith Marketing approach is to apply tools, skills and expertise in a way which draws clients into the building of solutions to their marketing issues and problems. This is an important factor in ensuring the success of Arrowsmith's projects.

As the business has developed Gareth has used his extensive business network to find partners to provide consultancy support on different projects. This gives clients access to expertise from a variety of disciplines. Networking is also important to the company in winning business and passing opportuities to others.

Arrowsmith is based in the West Midlands and primarily services the needs of customers in Birmingham, the Black Country, and Coventry and Warwickshire. But in these days of virtual companies and facilities such as Skype the business isn't limited geographically.

Arrowsmith Marketing Background

Prior to setting up Arrowsmith Gareth spent 7 years as director and consultant with 4sight Business Development where he provided support to major firms such as BT and Telewest as well as a wide variety of SMEs and start-ups. Before the move into consultancy he had a variety of roles in the IT and telecommunications industry. At AT&T ISTEL he specialised in marketing and selling network based systems in the CRM, manufacturing, purchasing and insurance markets. At Imminus he was Business Development Manager for a new electronic trading network for the Travel industry: now installed in many agents around the UK under the Endeavour brand. At the start of his career he even had a stint as a programmer and technical consultant.

And why the name Arrowsmith and that distinctive logo?

"The company is named after Mount Arrowsmith on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. And the logo is basically a stylised picture of the mountain, the forest and the ocean. With family in the vicinity there is a special place that I visit whenever possible with that view. It changes constantly as the sun rises and sets, as the weather fronts blow in and as the tides ebb and flow. It is superb."
